Sign language / BOOKING GUIDE

Quebec Sign Language (LSQ)

Langue des signes québécoise, commonly called LSQ, is one of the sign languages used in Canada. The Government of Canada provides separate ASL and LSQ resources. Agency intake should name LSQ explicitly rather than using “French” as a substitute.

Make the request specific.

For a Montreal appointment involving LSQ and spoken French, preserve those two selections through the consumer request, coordinator review and interpreter assignment. The language used to navigate the booking portal is a separate preference.

Details to confirm before assignment

  • LSQ and the other requested language
  • On-site address or video details
  • Consumer communication preferences

Does a French interface mean an LSQ booking?

No. Interface language describes how someone uses the app. LSQ is a service-language selection that must be captured in the booking itself.

Connect this language to your agency workflow

In MigiHub, your organization can configure its service-language catalogue to match its own offering. Keep clear customer-facing labels in the booking process, then coordinate availability and assignments with your operational rules. A reference code is a useful identifier; it does not verify a professional’s competence or guarantee that a service is available.

The planning questions on this page are editorial guidance for agencies. Review the requirements with the consumer and the professionals involved, and confirm which modules and configuration your organization needs.

TWO DIFFERENT LANGUAGE CHOICES

The language of the service.

Your service-language catalogue

Configure the spoken and sign-language services your business offers, including the names and varieties your customers need. Those configured choices can be available to consumers during booking. Your catalogue can include languages beyond this reference selection.

60+ interface languages

Display languages help your team use the app in its own language. They do not define which interpreting services your agency offers. Local and automatic timezone options support teams working across locations.
