Sign language / BOOKING GUIDE

Brazilian Sign Language (Libras)

Libras is Língua Brasileira de Sinais, Brazilian Sign Language. Brazil’s national linguistic-diversity resources describe it separately from Portuguese. For an agency offering both, a Portuguese-language customer portal should still expose Libras as a distinct service choice.

Make the request specific.

A request for Libras and Portuguese should retain both language labels, the requested interpreting direction and the meeting format. Confirm whether the assignment needs live interpreting, recorded signed content or a different workflow before quoting.

Details to confirm before assignment

  • Libras and the other requested language
  • Live or recorded-content workflow
  • Preparation and review requirements

Is Libras simply signed Portuguese?

No. Treat Libras as its own language. Portuguese interface preferences and Libras service requirements describe different needs.

Connect this language to your agency workflow

In MigiHub, your organization can configure its service-language catalogue to match its own offering. Keep clear customer-facing labels in the booking process, then coordinate availability and assignments with your operational rules. A reference code is a useful identifier; it does not verify a professional’s competence or guarantee that a service is available.

The planning questions on this page are editorial guidance for agencies. Review the requirements with the consumer and the professionals involved, and confirm which modules and configuration your organization needs.

TWO DIFFERENT LANGUAGE CHOICES

The language of the service.
The language of the workspace.

Your service-language catalogue

Configure the spoken and sign-language services your business offers, including the names and varieties your customers need. Those configured choices can be available to consumers during booking. Your catalogue can include languages beyond this reference selection.

60+ interface languages

Display languages help your team use the app in its own language. They do not define which interpreting services your agency offers. Local and automatic timezone options support teams working across locations.
